Chinese medicine provides the insight to diagnose weaknesses and imbalances in the organ systems of the body before major symptoms appear. This allows the practitioner to determine for each individual which systems need support. During your medical history, you will receive a customized plan to build your immunity based on healthy lifestyle and nutritional habits, natural remedies, and detoxification.

Acupuncture strengthens the wei qi, also called the defense qi or immunity. Many people who receive regular acupuncture remark how they never get sick even when exposed to other family members or co-workers who have infections.

Green Medicine Apothecary has multiple herbal formulas to strengthen the immune system. We make blends of Chinese, Western, and Ayurvedic herbs to take daily as an immune tonic, strengthen immunity for people fighting cancer, tonify adrendals, and strengthen the nervous system.

We accept Health Spending Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds for payment.

First Visit: This session consists of a thorough look at your medical history from the Western and Eastern perspectives. We will talk about physical, mental, and emotional concerns, as well as environmental and lifestyle stresses. Please bring in your home pharmacy. Include all over-the-counter and prescription medications, herbs, supplements, essential oils, and homeopathics. After a review of your history, medicines, and diet, Mary Helen will interpret and explain your Chinese diagnosis. 2 hours, $180.

Second Visit: You will receive a treatment plan based on your Chinese diagnosis. This session includes counseling on emotional, lifestyle, and environmental stresses, food-as-medicine, herbal remedies, natural supplements, and detox recommendations. If you are coming in for acupuncture, we will follow with an acupuncture, magnetic, infrared, and aromatherapy treatment. 1 to 2 hours, $90 per hour

Regular Acupuncture Treatment: This session includes counseling on emotional, and environmental stresses, nutrition, herbal, supplement and detox recommendations; plus an acupuncture, magnetic, infrared, and aromatherapy treatment. 1 hour $90

Herbal Consultation:  Herbal needs can change as your health progresses and may need to be updated periodically.  Depending on the length of time since your last session, this consultation can range from half an hour to an hour.  $50/ $90

We offer phone consultations for people who live out of town or who are not able to come into the clinic. We mail out orders from our apothecary all over the country.
